The weekend before (12–13 Sep)

Kuala Lumpur is a concert weekend, not a padang weekend:

• Saturday: Aaron Kwok, ANISAMA, MaRLo, Maurice Steger
• Sunday: SUPER JUNIOR-83z, Keretapi Sarong

Penang and East Malaysia

Penang already has Citra Mutiara and the orchid show through 13 September. Echoes of Italy at the Blue Mansion is 12–13 Sep.

Kota Kinabalu: Hillsong Worship at SICC on 13 September. Do not assume KL ticket prices.

Kuching: Borderland is 11–12 September at Sarawak Cultural Village (Damai), not the waterfront padang.

Johor

MR.DIY Bersama Satu Bazaar at Angsana JB, 11–13 Sep, 4pm–midnight, listed free. Thalapathy Katcheri on 12 Sep at Cathay Eco Spring Hall.

16 September itself

As of 10 September 2026 we do not have a sourced Malaysia Day parade listing with a time and a gate. If an official page publishes one, it will appear under events in Malaysia. Do not treat a WhatsApp poster as a time.

Common questions

Is Malaysia Day the same as Merdeka? No. Merdeka is 31 August. Malaysia Day is 16 September. Different holidays.
