Things to Do in KL This Weekend (12–13 Sep 2026)

EventsToday.my team · Updated 10 Sept 2026

If you only do one thing this Saturday in Kuala Lumpur, make it Bukit Jalil — Aaron Kwok, ANISAMA and a trance night land on the same date.

If you only do one thing this Saturday in Kuala Lumpur, go to Bukit Jalil. 12 September 2026 stacks an arena pop show, an anime song festival and a club night in the same precinct. Sunday is calmer: a K-pop fancon in Bukit Bintang and Keretapi Sarong on the KTM.

This is a living weekend brief. Last checked 10 September 2026. Times and prices come from organisers and public listings and can change — open the event page, then the source, before you pay.

Saturday — Bukit Jalil or KLCC?

Bukit Jalil is the loud option. Aaron Kwok is at Unifi Arena at 8pm. ANISAMA is next door at Zepp KL, the live house inside Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Trains on the Sri Petaling / Bukit Jalil LRT will be slow after the encore. If you are not going to either show, skip the precinct after 7pm.

KLCC is the seated option: Maurice Steger at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS. Classical dress, hall security, children under the usual DFP age rules. Use KLCC LRT/MRT.

Nightlife: MaRLo at XOX Arena (The Arch) is a standing trance night, not an arena. IC at the door. It is not Unifi Arena.

Sunday — fancon, sarong, or a mall

SUPER JUNIOR-83z (Leeteuk and Heechul) is at Mega Star Arena, Sungei Wang, 5pm. Bukit Bintang MRT. Tickets RM288–RM888 on the listing we sourced.

Keretapi Sarong is not a festival gate. Wear a sarong on a normal KTM train. Tourism Malaysia names the Klang Valley among the cities. You still buy a train ticket. Follow the organiser for the car, not a screenshot.

Harry Potter at Pavilion Damansara Heights is a mall takeover until 20 September — Platform 9¾ and a Hogwarts Express-style set in centre court. Not Pavilion KL in Bukit Bintang. Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT (KG13). The official mall page does not sell general admission.

Free and cheap if the tickets are gone

Who this weekend is for

  • Date / spectacle: Aaron Kwok, then supper in Bukit Jalil or back to the city
  • Family / indoor: Harry Potter at Pavilion DH; DFP only if the kids meet the hall age rule
  • Solo / RM50: Keretapi Sarong + a pasar malam — see RM50 weekend in KL
  • Rain plan: malls (Pavilion DH, Sungei Wang, KLCC) and DFP

How to get around

Bukit Jalil shows: LRT Bukit Jalil or Sri Petaling. Fancon: Bukit Bintang MRT. DFP: KLCC. Pavilion DH: Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT, not Bukit Bintang. Grab surge after arena nights is normal.

Common questions

Is there a single “KL weekend festival”? No. This weekend is several ticketed nights plus a mall exhibition and a train dress-up day.

Did Post Malone move to this weekend? No. The Bukit Jalil stadium date was postponed. Read the listing. Do not buy resale for 27 September.
